You're right, but if it was brought into the house by the cat, then there shouldn't be any other. But MMR told us that his cat was somewhat less than useful in catching the stoopid thing sooooo...
When you live in a area that has a lot mice, well, it gets expensive to buy all of those traps. So I started to just reuse the traps when I got down to my last one. I must have killed more than 50 of them re-using just one trap, and saved a lot of money in doing so.
Gawd, I don't know if I could do it... the yukko factor would probably win over every other consideration. When I had a bat in the house a couple of years ago, I had to call a friend to catch the damn thing. All I could do was shriek like a complete idjit every time I saw it. LOL.
